Over the years the Toyota Verso has undergone several model changes. The most significant changes affecting the body dimensions and boot dimensions occurred in 2013 and 2018. In the segment of compact MPVs, the Toyota Verso competes with models such as the Ford C-Max and Renault Scénic. By comparison, the Verso in standard configuration is somewhat smaller, but, thanks to the flexibility of the fold-flat seats, offers a comparable overall payload.

More affordable alternatives

More affordable alternatives to the Toyota Verso with similar boot dimensions are the Dacia Lodgy and the Citroën Berlingo. The Dacia Lodgy offers a boot volume of up to 827 litres with the seats folded and is cheaper to buy. The Citroën Berlingo, on the other hand, has a boot capacity of up to 1,500 litres, which makes it an excellent choice for buyers who need a lot of storage. Both models are typically cheaper than the Verso, but offer similar load-carrying capabilities.
